Rob has a proven track record in the business of international sports event management, having been a key part of the delivery teams for each of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games and the 2003 IRB Rugby World Cup.
Since joining Football Federation Australia, Rob’s primary goal was the development of the Hyundai A-League in Australia, and overseeing the initial participation of Australian clubs in the AFC Champions League. With both projects having been firmly established in the Australian sporting calendar and now enjoying substantial success, Rob was entrusted in February 2009 with the responsibility for leading Australia’s bid for the AFC Asian Cup 2015, which will sit alongside Australia’s bid to host the FIFA World Cup.
