Dato’ Thomas Lee has been an Advocate and Solicitor for 43 years and is a Senior Partner in Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill.  He is the Chairman of a Bank and also serves on the board of several other companies.  He is a well known figure in Malaysian and international golf, having been President of the Malaysian Golf Association for 17 years and the present Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation.  Presently, he is the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee, appointed by the Sports Ministry to make recommendations in respect of the Malaysian Professional Golfers Association.

Dato’ Thomas Lee is a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Lausanne.  He was a member of the Ad Hoc panel of arbitrators at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, Kuala Lumpur, the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Melbourne, and the 2000 Olympic Games, Sydney, and the 2008 Olympic Games, Beijing.
